1 in 100,000 odds that three siblings have same birthday
(MILAN, Ind.) – An already special day for a Milan family became even more remarkable last week when they welcomed their fourth child.
Kristina and Joey Fivecoat had their first child, DeShawn, on October 30, 2013.
Their next child, Donnovan, was born on October 30, 2014.
There is another sibling, Beksley, who is the odd one in the family with a February birthday.
However, this past week lightning struck again. Kristina gave birth to Blayde on Wednesday, October 30.
The odds of three siblings being born on the same day, not as triplets, are roughly 1 in 100,000!
DeShawn and Donnovan, now 11 and 10, say they enjoy celebrating the birthday together every year because they can have bigger parties.
It also doesn’t hurt that it falls right before Halloween so they get more candy.
The boys are ecstatic about the addition of a baby brother who shares their same birthday.
“It’s crazy! Because it is so unique that you can’t even think that you’d have three boys born on the same day,” DeShawn said.
We asked Donnovan and DeShawn what kind of life lessons they look forward to teaching Blayde in the coming years.
“Football, basketball, baseball,” the two boys said simultaneously.
Their father says the two older siblings have been very helpful to their parents so far.
“They’ve been great really, they help as much as they can. They were good with their sister when she was a baby and they are just a great help since Blayde has come home,” Joey said.
There is one point of contention within the household, and that is who to root for on Sundays.
DeShawn is a Ravens fan, Donnovan and Joey are Eagles fans and mom is a Bengals fan.
They will each be pulling Blayde to their respective teams over the coming years.
The best news of all, is that baby Blayde and Kristina are both healthy and doing great.
