(NEW ORLEANS) – At least ten people were killed and 35 injured after a pickup truck drove into a crowd in New Orleans early New Year’s Day.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the French Quarter and the suspect was shot and killed after a gun battle with police.
Police are calling it an “act of terrorism” and said the suspect was “hell-bent on creating carnage.”
The incident took place ahead of Notre Dame’s Sugar Bowl game on Wednesday night.
