(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A downtown Batesville boutique is closing after more than 8 years in business on New Year’s Eve.
Bird In A Tree opened in 2016 and has been a shopping destination for many in Southeast Indiana.
It is owned by Lori Rennekamp who said the closure is not due to a lack of support.
“Anyone who has owned a business, especially retail, know the highs and lows of it. After the pandemic, those highs and lows became so extreme,” Rennekamp told The 812.
There is still time to support Bird In A Tree Boutique as the store will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and all items are marked down by 75 percent.
There will be a final farewell celebration from 1 to 5 p.m. that will include wine and champagne, with a toast at 4:30 p.m.
