Will be open on Sunday
(MORRIS, Ind.) – A Batesville third grader has created an initiative to help sick children just like her sister.
8-year-old Raylyn Moore created a lemonade stand where all proceeds go to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Her 3-month-old baby sister Virginia has spent an extensive amount of time at the hospital and had open heart surgery.
“My little sister has had heart problems and Cincinnati Children’s had to fix her up. So I’m giving them basically a thank you gift,” Raylyn said.
Although the family has mounting medical bills, proceeds from the lemonade stand strictly go to Cincinnati Children’s to help others.
“I don’t care about our medical expenses I want the money to go to Children’s Hospital, I know Virginia was going through some research programs, so just even extra money to help other kids during surgery, after surgery or in other research areas,” said Raylyn’s mother, Analise.
Raylyn’s lemonade stand will be back open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
It is located at her house which is at 4632 E. Morris Firehouse Road in Morris.
