Began racing in 2020
(MUNCIE, Ind.) – An incoming Batesville High School junior is continuing the family tradition of racing.
16-year-old Ashlee Sparks had a strong performance this weekend when she won the Moser Engineering Trip 12 Race at the Muncie Dragway.
Sparks comes from a family of drag racers. Her grandfather, Paul Hubband, started Hard Times Racing and her father, Rick, was also a racer.
She began racing in 2020 and is the first girl in their family to pick up the sport. Her brother and nephew are also in racing.
Sparks has big plans with drag racing as she plans to move up the ranks once she reaches the age of 18.
