Batesville grad pens romance novel

Limardo began writing novels when she was 14

(SALT LAKE CITY) – A Batesville native now living in Utah just published her first book after years of writing.

Sarah Limardo graduated from Batesville High School in 2012 and was involved in Young Life as a student.

Writing has been a passion for Limardo for quite some time, even going back to high school.

“I wrote my first novel right before my freshman year of high school, and during the school year I'd pretend to take notes or do homework while I was just outlining or editing books,” she recalled.

This is the tenth book she has written but happens to be the first one that is being published.

Waiting 15 years was ultimately a wonderful thing, because I had a lot to learn,” she said.

Limardo used to write young adult fiction but wanted to find her own niche after leaving her literary agent in 2022.

She is now focused on writing mostly for women in their 20’s and 30’s.

Sarah has always loved romance, fantasy and fairy tales which led to her new book “All She Ever Wanted”. Here is a brief synopsis:

Aurelia Danby discovers her handsome neighbor, William Kingswood, is a pirate and blackmails him into sending her letters about his adventures. Ten years later, he’s the most infamous pirate in the Atlantic while she’s shackled to high society.

Desperate to escape her arranged marriage (and desperately in love with William), she finally writes back and he steals her away, leading her on a wild adventure to rival her favorite tales.

Limardo says her journey as an author hasn’t been easy but is part of the industry.

“I’ve worked for this for years, and there’s been some amazing opportunities as well as a lot of disappointment and rejection. But launching this book has been incredibly fun and so worth the wait,” she told The 812.

“My goal as an author is to just have fun and find the readers who will hopefully love my book," she added.

Sarah currently works as an editor and hopes to one day become a full-time author.
