Annual project by Batesville Community Education Foundation
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – A new mural in downtown Batesville was designed by Batesville Intermediate School students.
Eight students created the artwork which is on display at the Simons Company building on
Main Street.
The mural is part of the Batesville Community Education Foundation’s annual Art on Main project which showcases student art on a rotating basis.
The students who created the mural are Lincoln Brasier, Terra Bunn, Ailey Jones, Catherine Smith, Kate Shotwell, William Swain, Calli Oesterling and Lilly Reding.
Swain contributed a photo of a fish which was inspired by one of his favorite activities.
“This picture shows that I like to go fishing. I go fishing with my grandpa on
Saturdays. He taught me how to use an open reel which is a reel that you can
see the line so you can untangle the line if needed,” Swain said.
