Event will take place on Friday night
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Batesville Main Street has come up with creative ways to celebrate the holiday season while giving back to others.
The non-profit will host "Santa's Village" which will feature several activities during the town's annual Tree Lighting which starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 1.
During the event, residents can participate in the first annual Christmas Ornament Design contest. Pick up an ornament from a downtown business, create a downtown Batesville-themed design and the winning entry will be chosen as the official Batesville Main Street ornament this Christmas. Main Street will also have four holiday selfie stations for photos, putt putt golf, cookie decorating, and free movies while kids wait in line for Santa.
They will also accept items for Safe Passage during the Tree Lighting. We have a list of the donations they are accepting on the flyer below:
