Batesville native drops fun summer single 'Canned Wine'

A winery in Utah made specialty cans for her song release!

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- Emily Hicks grew up in Batesville and is now following her musical dreams in Utah.

She performs all over Salt Lake City while also spending time in Nashville to work with other singers and songwriters.

During performances, she takes song requests from audience members who often ask her to play cover songs about drinking beer. There's one problem.

Hicks doesn't like beer. She prefers wine.

So, the emerging artist decided to release a new song about her favorite summer drink.
