The company surprises a food pantry
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- Batesville Products, Inc. made a surprise delivery to show their appreciation for a Dearborn County non-profit this week.
The company donated $812 to the Dearborn County Clearinghouse, which is a food pantry that also provides clothing, school supplies, homeless kits, holiday meals and many other services to residents who are in need.
Mary Jutzi, who serves as the digital marketing associate for BPI, represented the company when she delivered the check.
Jutzi is also the person who helped design the popular 812 Day shirts which were available for purchase last month.
This is the second $812 donation that BPI has made in the past two years to celebrate #812Day.
The Clearinghouse serves over 1,200 individuals in Dearborn and Ohio Counties. They are open in Aurora on Mondays and Tuesdays, and then in Lawrenceburg on Wednesday's
"This service includes groceries one time a month and lunches everyday we are open. This would not happen without our 50 volunteers and those who donate," the non-profit said.
