Will play baseball for the Irish
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Batesville standout athlete Will Jaisle made his college plans official on Thursday when he signed a letter of intent with the University of Notre Dame.
You may recognize Jaisle as the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs, but he is also a dominant force on the mound as a pitcher.
One scout said, "[He] has a clean arm with tons of quickness - producing a heavy fastball that has been up to 89 mph with late cut. For Jaisle, the separator is his ability to spin a breaking ball."
Jaisle says he can’t wait to get to South Bend and join the baseball team.
“It’s a great feeling, I’ve been looking forward to this day ever since I verbally committed, and it means a lot to officially say, I’m Irish,” Jaisle told The 812.
“The support from the people of Batesville has been amazing, and I wouldn’t of asked to go to any other school,” Jaisle said. “I am so grateful of everyone and how supportive they’ve been along my journey."
Jaisle and the Bulldogs will host Tri-West in a IHSAA regional football game on Friday night.
