(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- The Ripley County Community Foundation has selected a Batesville High School senior as this year's Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient.
Madison Rahschulte will receive full tuition and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and equipment for four years.
Madison plans to study nursing at Marian University. She also recently was selected as the only student in Indiana to receive a $20,000 scholarship from the Flying Pig Marathon.
“Madison embodies the characteristics of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program. She is an exemplary student who serves as President of National Honors Society, is a four-year member of Student Council, is actively involved in the Tri-Force Mission Team, and consistently volunteers her time at church events,” said Amy Streator, Executive Director of the Ripley County Community Foundation.
She is the daughter of Scott and Rebecca Rahschulte of Batesville.
