Batesville will host parade, fireworks on this week 

Will take place Thursday and Friday 

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – The City of Batesville and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club are partnering to host two Independence Day events this week.


The celebration will begin on July 4 at 11am with a Fourth of July parade. 


Floats are welcome, along with tractors, golf carts, bicycles, big wheels, wagons, tricycles, strollers, clubs/groups, walkers (bring your dog!), or horses. No pre-registration is required. 


The parade lineup will start at 10am on Mulberry Street by the Batesville Memorial Pool and will end at Liberty Park. 


The parade route will be as follows: 

  • Line up on Mulberry Street (by Batesville Memorial Pool)

  • Proceed south on Mulberry

  • Turn left on West Pearl

  • Turn right on Main

  • Turn left on Catherine

  • Turn right on Park

  • End parade at Liberty Park


Be sure to wear your most festive and patriotic red, white, and blue!


The next night on July 5, fireworks will be hosted by the City of Batesville and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club. 


Fireworks are scheduled to begin between 9:45-10 p.m. 


The fireworks provider, Scarrette Pyrotechnics Shows and Displays, has promised an amazing fireworks show that will be able to be viewed throughout most of the city.
