Bengals, Colts playoff chances hang in the balance

Updated: 3 days ago

Both need to win last two games, get some help from other teams

UPDATE:

The Bengals beat the Broncos 30-24 in overtime on Saturday night. The win keeps Cincinnati and Indianapolis in the playoff race, however several things must go right for both teams.

Original Post:

(CINCINNATI) – It is a must win for both the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts this weekend.

The Bengals must beat Denver on Saturday to remain in contention for a playoff spot.

That game will have the attention of the Colts as they need either Denver or the Los Angeles Chargers to lose their remaining games to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Even if the Bengals take down the Broncos, both local teams still need some luck to reach the playoffs.

For the Bengals, they’ll need to also win next weekend, while hoping for a Broncos loss against the Chiefs, and at least one loss from the Colts and Dolphins.

The Colts need to beat the Giants Sunday as well as the Jaguars next weekend. Indianapolis will also need either the Chargers or Broncos to lose their final games.

The Bengals host Denver at 4 p.m. on Fox19 or the NFL Network

Colts will face the New York Giants at 1 p.m. Sunday on Fox.
