Cards requested for Rising Sun WWII vet’s 100th birthday

Birthday is September 14

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – A World War II veteran will celebrate a milestone birthday next month and his family.

Leroy Guard will turn 100 years old on Saturday, September 14. He was a member of  the Army/Air Force and served in Italy during the second world war. 

His family is asking community members to surprise Leroy by mailing birthday cards. 

“Even if you have never met my dad please send him a card,” his son, Mark said.

Birthday cards can be mailed to 220 S. Poplar Street Apartment 5  in Rising Sun, Indiana 47040.
