(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- A young girl nearly drowned at the Brookville Pool last Sunday.
4-year-old Joselyn Allen was swimming with her family when she was found unconscious in the pool.
She was pulled from the water where her father, Davey Allen, administered CPR.
Caroline Jansing, 18, was working as a lifeguard and ran to the girl to give life-saving breaths while CPR was in progress.
Joselyn eventually woke up and was taken to the hospital. She is expected to make a full recovery.
The quick actions by Davey and Caroline are being credited with saving the young girl's life.
The incident has inspired Caroline to pursue a career in the medical field. She graduated from Oldenburg Academy this year and will attend the University of Cincinnati this fall.
