Cincinnati woman killed in Franklin Co. crash Monday

Crash happened around 3:30 a.m.

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – A Cincinnati woman was killed in an early morning crash in Franklin County on Monday. 


Deputies responded to the area of State Road 1 and U.S. 52 in Cedar Grove around 3:30 a.m. for a single vehicle crash. 


Investigators say 21-year-old Kathleen Scott was traveling north on State Road 1 when she crashed at the intersection.


“Sadly, Kathleen Scott sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office,” Franklin County Major Greg Mehlbauer said. 


The road was closed for nearly three hours on Monday morning. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Franklin County Coroner, Letts EMS, and Cedar Grove volunteer firefighters. 


The crash remains under investigation.
