Announced last year
(BATESVILLE, Ind.) -- The project that will impact how people access Kroger in Batesville is underway.
A concrete curb will be constructed between the McDonald's intersection and the FCN intersection.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the project last year.
"This segment of State Road 229 currently experiences a crash-rate of approximately twice the rate of roadways with similar characteristics," said project manager Marc Rape.
The curb will stop traffic from turning left into oncoming traffic between both signals.
INDOT will also widen the roadway at the Kroger traffic signal.
