DCMH welcomes new doctor to Family Medicine team

Is a Batesville High School graduate

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital is adding a Batesville graduate as their newest doctor.


Dr. Scott Washburn is an IU School of Medicine graduate who completed his residency at Texas Tech. 


His healthcare career began with EMT-Basic training and worked as a summer camp health counselor. He later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at an assisted living facility. 


Dr. Washburn has also worked other non-medical careers that helped shape his passion for helping patients. 


The Batesville grad is returning to Southeast Indiana as he and his wife are expecting their first child soon. 


Dr. Washburn is a primary care provider who specializes in Family Medicine. He provides individualized care to patients of all ages and can assist in various areas, including diabetes care and management, hypertension, blood pressure, cholesterol, mental health, and more.


DCMH's practitioners provide a wide range of care, including pediatrics, obstetrics, mental health, chronic conditions, and more. Focused on your well-being, these collaborative teams prioritize delivering top-quality, consistent care during each visit.
