Domestic violence victims remembered during ceremony

Safe Passage organizes 'Ceremony of Recognition and Remembrance'

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- A ceremony to remember victims who lost their lives to domestic violence took place in Lawrenceburg Monday night.


The memorial service was organized by Safe Passage and there will be another ceremony in Versailles tonight.


Family and friends gathered to honor those whose lives have been cut short due to domestic violence in our area.


The guest speaker was Brooke Kinebrew, of Cincinnati, whose faced her fair share of tragedy due to domestic violence.


Kinebrew has lost four family members in two separate murder-suicides since August 2022.

Safe Passage organized the 'Ceremony of Recognition and Remembrance' events this week to show support to those most affected when someone loses their life due to domestic violence.


The Versailles event will take place at the Holdsworth Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
