(ST. LEON, Ind.) -- Fans had the first opportunity to see the defending state champions in action on Friday.
East Central football hosted their annual Media Night which featured a middle school scrimmage and a high school scrimmage.
Senior Quarterback Cole Burton knows the expectations are high this year.
"We've got some really good players stepping up to replace the seniors we've lost. We need to take every week like it's the biggest game of the year, and not let our heads get too big," Burton said.
East Central will be put to the test the first week of the season when they travel to Lawrenceburg on August 18.
It will be a matchup of two local teams who both made it to the state championship last season.
