Student council initiative brings in hundreds of supplies for Hawaii
(ST. LEON, Ind.) -- Community members and students responded in a big way to an initiative created by East Central Student Council.
The students started a donation drive to support Maui wildfire victims in conjunction with Harrison High School.
Students donated last week at school and fans were encouraged to drop off supplies during the Trojans and Wildcats game Friday.
On Monday, a Matthew 25 Ministries truck stopped by East Central to pick up the donations.
There were more than 740 supplies donated since last week.
