Troopers graduated from police academy last month
(VERSAILLES, Ind.) -- Two Southeast Indiana natives are among the newest Indiana State Police troopers.
Tyler Busch and Jordan Hartmann graduated from the ISP academy in December and have been assigned to the Versailles Post.
Before joining the state police, both troopers have shown a commitment to serving their home communities.
Trooper Busch is a 2016 East Central graduate who earned a biology degree from Thomas More. He previously served as a jailer for the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, a diver for the Dearborn County Water Rescue Team, and a deputy coroner for the Dearborn County Coroner’s Office.
Trooper Hartmann is a 2014 Milan graduate and worked as a Ripley County deputy for three years before being hired by the Indiana State Police.
They will now start a field training program where they will be paired with veteran troopers.
Upon successful completion of field training, the troopers will be assigned a state police patrol vehicle and will begin solo patrol.
They have already completed over 1,200 hours of training at the police academy.
