EC's Ringer named 20 best HS players in nation this season

(ST. LEON, Ind.) -- Senior running back Josh Ringer is among the leaders of the undefeated East Central Trojans as the team has high hopes of repeating a state championship.

An article published by High School FN through Sports Illustrated on Thursday lists Ringer in a very exclusive group.

Ringer was named one of the 20 best athletes in the nation this high school football season.

"Ringer recently went over 5,000 rushing yards for his East Central career and has 1,549 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior. He has also caught a pair of TDs and is averaging almost 40 yards per punt," the article read.

Ringer has committed to Miami (OH) University and is among the contenders for Mr. Football Indiana.
