Family continues search for Franklin Co. man Roger Purcell

Family hoping to receive some clue as to where he went

(CEDAR GROVE, Ind.) – The family of a man missing since June is hoping to soon get a sign of his whereabouts.

A Silver Alert for 50-year-old Roger Purcell was issued on June 21 after he disappeared from his Franklin County home.

Search crews immediately responded to the Cedar Grove area and looked for him.

However, there were no signs of where he may have gone. He does not have a vehicle and there were no signs of any foul play.

We first spoke with his mother, Ruth, this summer who believes he left the home sometime between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Friday, June 21.

“If we can verify he was on Johnson Fork Road and even got picked up by somebody that would be good to know,” Ruth told The 812.

There have numerous searches and posters placed around different locations.

The biggest problem is we don’t know if someone picked him up and dropped him off somewhere so we have no clue to know where to search other than the areas that have already been searched,” his mother said.

Anyone with information that could help lead to where Roger might be should contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at (765) 647-4138.
