(BLOOMINGTON, Ind.) – A former Greensburg softball standout is transferring to IU from another Big Ten School.

Melina Wilkison has spent the past three seasons at Ohio State.

She started all 53 games for the Buckeyes her sophomore year and led the team in batting average, home runs, stolen bases and RBI’s.

Wilkison redshirted this past season due to an injury.

She will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Hoosiers.

The former Pirate was a dominant force in high school where she was named the EIAC MVP in 2021 and set the single-season triples record, was named All-Conference several times and also received an All-Indiana selection her sophomore year.

Wilkison recently announced her transfer to IU by typing on Instagram, "All Roads Led Home."
