Middle schoolers find unique way to honor veterans
(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- Franklin County Middle School students are honoring veterans in a unique way.
Teachers Chad Gutzillwer and Scott Carie asked their social studies classes to compile information on veterans.
The students were able to gather information on more than 200 veterans.
Gutzwiller then turned that into a video that spotlights those who wore the uniform.
The Veteran's tribute video can be watched here:
On Friday, the middle school will hold their annual Veteran's Day by providing free breakfast to veterans. The event will also feature performances from the band and choir while student council will give speeches.
The entire Franklin County Community School Corporation has been designated as a Purple Star School district by the State of Indiana Board of Education.
