The festival attracts thousands including Indiana's governor
(OLDENBURG, Ind.) -- Thousands of people will travel to the small town of Oldenburg for one of the largest German festivals in the Midwest this weekend.
Freudenfest starts at 5 p.m. Friday and takes place all day Saturday.
Festival-goers can enjoy the chicken dance, tossing a naked chicken, watching the Dachshunds race, or simply, meeting up with an old friend.
There are also tons of family activities and of course, German beer.
Oldenburg has a population of 700 people but Freudenfest attracts more than 10,000 to the Franklin County town each July.
