From Lawrenceburg to Paris: The Olympic journey for Mason Paris

(PARIS) – Lawrenceburg graduate Mason Parris is competing in the 2024 Olympics in Paris. 


USA Wrestling spotlighted his journey to the Olympics in a video they released Monday. 


Parris is scheduled to compete in the men’s freestyle wrestling 125 kg division on August 9 and 10.


The former Tiger standout went to the University of Michigan where he went 33-0 his senior  and won the NCAA heavyweight title and was named Michigan's first-ever recipient of the prestigious Dan Hodge Trophy, presented annually to the nation's most dominant wrestler.
