Fundraiser launched after baby attacked by dog

Happened in Greensburg Sunday

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – An infant is in the hospital after he was attacked by a dog in Greensburg. 

5-month-old Cade Turner is in critical condition at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. 

He was being watched by a babysitter when the dog attacked him.

“The dog had never shown aggression before and there were no indications it had ever been dangerous for kids to be around it,” family members said. 

Cade has underwent a blood transfusion and two surgeries. There is at least one more surgery scheduled for Thursday. 

He is being raised by a single mother and a fundraiser is underway to help offset the medical expenses and the other costs that come with the unexpected situation. 

“Besides medical bills, the stress of thinking about how to pay rent, gas, and keep providing for two kids while you want to stay bedside in the hospital is huge,” organizers said.
