Fundraiser launched for Marine vet battling cancer

Dearborn County native also owned martial arts studio

(GREENDALE, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched for a local Marine veteran who is fighting cancer.

Franklin “Tim” Foster was diagnosed in October with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The Greendale resident served in the Marines and later owned a martial arts studio in Aurora and Manchester. Some of his students competed in regional and state championships over the years.

He has been a great pillar of the community and is the most caring person I have ever met,” said his son, Jordan.

The cancer diagnosis was unexpected and Foster is in need of some financial support to pay the bills as he goes through treatments.

A Go Fund Me has been launched and you can get more information and donate by clicking here

“He’s a very proud Marine and loving father. I just want to give back to him and let the community know that he now needs a little help,” Jordan added.
