Fundraiser launched for southern Indiana deputy shot on Friday

Happened in Orange County and suspect is still on the run

(WEST BADEN, Ind.) – A fundraiser has been launched for a southern Indiana police officer who was shot in the line of duty on Friday morning.

Orange County Deputy Zach Andry was seriously injured after a traffic stop near West Baden. He was taken to a Louisville hospital where his current condition is not currently known. 

The alleged shooter has been identified as 33-year-old Austin Schepers, who remains on the run.
