(GREENDALE, Ind.) -- The third annual Greendale Christmas on the Avenue will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 9.
It's a tour that will feature homes on Oakey and Ludlow avenues. The homes on tour were built following the 1937 flood and World War II.
"These fine homes on tour highlight the style of homes built in that era," organizers said.
Tickets are currently on sale through the Dearborn County Historical Society by clicking here. They are $20 per adult and $10 per child. Proceeds go to the historical society for upkeep of the Vance-Tousey House and the Angevine Cabin.
Registration will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Sheldon Street.
Greendale Main Street is also hosting a holiday home decorating contest. Homeowners can decorate for a chance at one of three prizes: "The Griswald" category, Most Festive Block or Fan's Choice.
It is free to enter and you must register by December 13 by visiting this website.
A map featuring all the entries will be available on December 15.
Judging will take place during December 18-22 so homeowners are encouraged to have their displays on those nights.
