Greensburg farmer named to U.S. Soybean Council 

Will serve on Board of Directors

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg farmer has been named to the Board of Directors for the U.S. Soybean Export Council. 


Mike Koehne was named to the board and is also involved in the Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Land Improvement Contractors Association.


He is now one of 15 board members on the U.S. Soybean Export Council. 


Koehne is a  first-generation farmer and raises market-specific crops, including high oleic soybeans and soy food beans shipped by container to Japan and Taiwan.


They grow corn for dry millers in Japan and for the Kentucky bourbon market. They also raise cattle and grow hay. The Koehne family currently own a farm drainage business, which they have operated for nearly 20 years.


 Previously, they owned and operated a trucking company that hauled livestock for 19 years.


He and his wife, Jill, farm have four children, Rebecca, Luke, Logan and Caroline.
