Greensburg Optimist Club hosting student speech contest

Students could win cash through contest

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Students in Decatur County are eligible to compete in a speech contest. 

The Greensburg Breakfast Optimist Club invites youth under the age of 19 to compete in the Oratorical Contest. 

Participants must write and present an original speech on the topic of, “How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times.”

Students could win up to $200 and the deadline to submit an application is February 14. 

The Oratorical Contest is on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Greensburg Community High School Auditorium.

Organizers added that all students, including those who are home schooled, are invited to participate.
