Greensburg Rotary recognizes O'Mara family for their community service

Family was presented with Rotary award

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A Greensburg couple is being recognized for the work they do in the community.

Blake and Amy O’Mara were presented with the Distinguished Paul Harris Fellow Community Award by the Rotary Club of Greensburg.

“The O’Mara’s engage in so many things, too many things to mention here. But they represent the true meaning and purpose of the Paul Harris Fellow Award,” said Greensburg Rotarian and Paul Harris Community Award chair Lora Williams.

The family is involved in the Decatur County Cheer Fund and also established the nonprofit Luke O’Mara Foundation in honor of their son.

The nonprofit is dedicated to providing comfort and hope to families during the loss of a baby.

Rotary groups across the country give the Paul Harris Fellow award to individuals in their communities who make a significant impact.

The award was presented by Williams, along with Greensburg Rotarians Mandy Jo Lohrum and Rob DeHoff during the annual Christmas Party in St. Paul on Friday night.
