Greensburg’s Jackson has record-breaking throw

(BLOOMINGTON, Ind.) – Greensburg senior Emarie Jackson continues to set records during her high school career. 

She competed at the Bloomington North Indoor Invitational Qualifier on Wednesday. 

Jackson had a shotput throw that traveled more than 50-feet. 

It was the longest throw of her career and also the sixth longest in Indiana history. 

She ended up finishing second in the meet to defending state champion Hadley Lucas from Bloomington North, who threw a new state record. Lucas and Jackson are currently ranked as the top two throwers in the United States.

Jackson is a commit to the University of Delaware.
