(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- A traffic stop in Greensburg on Wednesday was connected to the search for an Ohio murder suspect, authorities have confirmed.

Investigators in Hamilton County, Ohio reached out to police in Decatur County regarding a suspect’s vehicle that was believed to be in our area.

A Greensburg officer located the car and a traffic stop occurred at the Speedway gas station on Lincoln Street.

The suspect who authorities were looking for was not in the vehicle. It is unclear if that suspect was in Decatur County.

The two occupants of the car were taken to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department for questioning by the Ohio detectives.

On Thursday, multiple Cincinnati news outlets are reporting that 40-year-old David Vanover was arrested for murder in Hamilton County.

According to court documents, deputies were able to locate Vanover thanks to witness statements and surveillance video.
