Guilty plea in connection to body found in Franklin Co. in 2011

Fiance accepts plea deal

(HAMILTON, Oh.) – The man accused of killing an Ohio woman whose remains were found in Franklin County has pleaded guilty. 


Katelyn Markham disappeared from her home in Fairfield, Ohio and her remains were found in Cedar Grove in 2011. 


Her fiance, John Carter, was charged with murder last year. 


On Friday, Carter pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a Butler County courtroom


Carter accepted the plea deal in exchange for all other charges being dropped, WLWT reported. 


The maximum prison sentence is 36 months.
