Updated: Sep 22

Week 5 of the football season

(SOUTHEAST IND.) – There was plenty of football action in Southeast Indiana on Friday night.

Here are final scores:

The Batesville Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season as the East Central Trojans won 24-13 in St. Leon.

It was a closer than expected contest in Franklin County. The Wildcats were leading Lawrenceburg at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Tigers had two unanswered touchdowns to beat FC 35-27.

South Dearborn hosted the Greensburg Pirates and Knights won 28-3.

North Decatur traveled to Madison County for a big contest against #8 ranked Lapel. There was a lightning delay but that didn’t stop the Chargers from upsetting Lapel 29-22.

It was homecoming at South Decatur! The most difficult competition may have been deciding who would win King and Queen as the Cougars rolled past Indy Crimson Knights 53-14.

Milan also celebrated Homecoming and senior football player Landon Stanley was named King. The Indians got a victory 64-48 over Greenwood Christian Academy.

Switzerland County went across the Ohio River to face Owen County High School in Kentucky. The Pacers fell 32-7.

Rushville traveled to Connersville and dominated! The Lions rolled past the Spartans 44-8.
