(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – The 812’s John Pratt looks back at the life of Brookville native Lew Wallace. 

Wallace was a Civil War general who later went on to become the Governor of New Mexico. 

He also penned the best-selling book ‘Ben-Hur’ which is viewed as one of the most influential books of the nineteenth century.
