17-year-old has been missing since June
(RUSHVILLE, Ind.) -- Rush County authorities held a press conference Wednesday to release new details in the missing persons case of a teenager.
17-year-old Valerie Tindall disappeared from her Arlington home in early June.
On Wednesday, police announced the discovery of human remains on the property of 57-year-old Patrick Scott.
Scott has now been charged with murder. He had previously been named a person of interest and was charged with false informing in connection to the case.
"We have worked tirelessly on this case since its inception, executing more than 50 search warrants and expanding countless manhours in locating Valerie," Rush County Sheriff Allan Rice said.
Police could not confirm the human remains are Tindall's as an examination will be conducted by the coroner.
