Incoming seniors can apply for Lilly Scholarship

To be eligible, the senior must have a 3.4 GPA or higher.

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- High school students entering their senior year can apply for the Lilly Scholarship in Decatur County.


Applications must be completed and submitted to the Decatur County Community Foundation by August 22.


The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program provides full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for four years at any university in Indiana.


There will be 147 of these scholarships given out this school year in Indiana, including one in Decatur County.


To be eligible, the senior must plan to attend a university and have a 3.4 GPA or higher.


Applicants will be evaluated on, but not limited to, application and essay scores. Five finalists

will be nominated by the Community Foundation. The four students not receiving the Lilly will receive $5,000 towards tuition at the Indiana school of their choice.
