Part of six-month investigation
(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – A Columbus man has been arrested and accused of distributing and possessing child pornography.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that a social media user was sharing child pornography with other users.
It led to a six-month investigation between the Indiana State Police Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Yesterday, Investigators with the Indiana State Police, with the assistance of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department and the United States Secret Service, served additional search warrants on Lawless in Bartholomew County.
56-year-old Michael Lawless was a resulted as a result and was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail.
