Worked at speedway last two years
(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) -- A track official at Lawrenceburg Speedway has passed away.
William Bauer worked at the speedway the past two years, and spent more than two decades involved in auto racing at numerous tracks.
"Bill was one of the most loyal, exemplary team members you could ask for. Bill showed up every week with a smile on his face and would do anything he was asked to do or you usually didn’t have to ask because he just did it," Lawrenceburg Speedway wrote on Facebook.
Bauer lived in Northern Kentucky and also worked for the RUSH Late Model Series.
