Caleb was a bright light for all who met him.
(GREENSBURG, Ind.) -- Local residents and children are hosting a lemonade stand fundraiser Saturday, August 12 for the Caleb’s Cause Fund.
The lemonade stand will be located on the sidewalk outside the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home at 110 E North St in Greensburg, Indiana from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All proceeds will go to Caleb’s Cause Fund at the Decatur County Community Foundation, benefiting Decatur County Special Olympics.
Caleb Brown was a special young man in the Decatur County community who passed away in 2018. He was an athlete for Decatur County Special Olympics with a passion for basketball, and most importantly, a bright light for all who met him.
Lemonade stand organizer Morgan Stanley says, “The Brown family is near and dear to my heart, and I look forward to seeing the community come together to honor Caleb.”
In addition to Saturday’s lemonade stand, the Caleb Brown Memorial 5K & Superhero Fun Run will take place once again this year at the Tree City Fall Festival in downtown Greensburg.
The 5K Run takes place on September 16th, 2023 at 8 a.m., with the Superhero Fun Run to follow at 9 a.m. Individuals can search “Caleb's Cause 5K and Superhero Fun Run” on Instagram and Facebook to register early. Costumes are encouraged but not required!
