Letts EMS to build new Brookville station

Hoping to have facility ready by next summer

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Letts EMS has acquired property with plans of building a new EMS headquarters in Brookville.

The Decatur County-based EMS service was awarded a four-year contract to provide service in Franklin County last December.

The department has purchased property from the estate of James Hyde, which is located on Main Street.

“This building will house the trucks and crews currently stationed at the Margaret Mary Health complex in Brookville,” the agency said.

The design and engineering work for the building are underway, and the property survey is scheduled.

“Once these tasks are completed, we will begin the permitting process. Our goal is to have the new facility ready by early summer,” the agency added.

Letts officials added that they will continue to keep a truck at Metamora.
