Link 101 virtual community meeting tonight

Meeting starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday night

(AURORA, Ind.) -- The Indiana Department of Transportation is accepting public comment regarding the development of a new road that would connect State Road 101 between the Markland Dam and US 50.


Click this link to register for the virtual meeting which takes place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8.


It's an opportunity to learn more about preliminary alternatives and as well as share feedback.


There have been recent in-person meetings where some residents have voiced opposition to the development of the road in their community.


Right now, there are ten preliminary alternative routes that will go through a preliminary screening process.


Project officials are will analyze budget, impacts and public feedback to determine a single route.


A decision is expected in the fall of 2024.
