Local swimmers perform well at IHSAA State Finals

Milan, OA and EC represented at Indiana Swim Championship

Milan's Dylan Thomas prepares for meet

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Three local high school swimmers competed at the IHSAA State Finals on Friday and Saturday.

The state finals brought two great careers to an end while a new swimmer is just beginning his.

Milan senior Dylan Thomas has had a storied career. He returned for his second consecutive state appearance and competed in the 100-yard backstroke. Thomas finished 16th overall in the state.

East Central senior Henry Trotman competed in the 50 freestyle swim and finished 22nd best in the state.

An Oldenburg Academy student is hoping this is the first of several trips to the IHSAA swim finals.

Nash King qualified for state as a freshman and he finished 14th overall in the 500 Freestyle.

Congratulations to Dylan, Henry and Noah and their accomplishments this season!
