Massive truck convoy for good cause set for August 5

(Osgood, Ind.) -- A popular truck convoy will return for the second time this weekend and it's for a very good cause.

The Southern Indiana Truck Convoy raises proceeds for local children involved in the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Those interested in participating should meet at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the convoy starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 5.

All types of trucks are welcome including semis, dump trucks, box trucks, food trucks, fire trucks and more. Registration is $50.

There will be awards given out for:

• Oldest truck

• Oldest working truck

• Driver who traveled the furthest to participate

• Most trucks from one company

• A driver's choice award

• Tug O' War

The event will also feature kids activities, auctions, vendor booths and food.
